After earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at UCLA, Matt Mueller pursued a career as an engineering and operations leader in the Aerospace and Defense industry, spending over 11 of his 16 years in leadership while working at an Aerospace prime (Honeywell Aerospace - 5 yrs), a mid stage startup (SpaceX - 9 yrs), and an early stage startup (Hadrian - 1 yr).  After leading a variety of technical operations teams at Honeywell supporting production and testing of a wide span of product areas in commercial and military aviation, Matt helped lead aspects of SpaceX's rocket and spacecraft quality, product validation, and production in their early years of production.  At SpaceX he worked on virtually every program (Falcon, Falcon Heavy, Dragon Cargo, Dragon Crew, Starlink, and Raptor) supporting both product development and production to improve the reliability of launch, test, manufacturing, and in space operations at a time when SpaceX developed from a scrappy startup to the world's premiere launch, satellite internet, and human spaceflight company.

Following his tenure at SpaceX, Matt pursued an opportunity as a founding member of Hadrian Automation, a commercial space startup where as Head of Quality he set up Hadrian's Quality Management System and earned its ISO9001 and AS9100 certifications.  In parallel, he pursued his MBA at UC Berkeley, where he started the Haas EMBA Angel Syndicate and led $500k in investments in early stage startups.  This foray into Angel Investing led to Matt joining a variety of tech startup investing groups (Tech Coast Angels, E8 Angels, Courtyard Ventures, and Berkeley Angel Network) to support the funding of critical deep tech technologies built in the United States.

Since leaving Aerospace and Defense and upon graduation from Berkeley in 2023, Matt has opened up his own consulting and advisory practice broadly supporting the tech industry (Shift4 - Payments, Antora Energy - Energy, Homeostasis - Direct Air Capture, and Emporium - Deep Tech SAAS).  Additionally he is in stealth mode as Co-Founder and COO of an Ag-Tech startup working to eliminate methane emissions from Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) and increase crop yields by producing a unique form of organic fertilizer.  The connective thread woven throughout Matt's career is a passion to rebuild America's industrial base by building deep tech technologies that enable humanity to pursue a more inspiring, sustainable, and clean future for all.
