Member Spotlight: Jennifer & Tyler Acevedo
Jennifer Colli-Acevedo (CEO & Co-Founder)
Ms. Acevedo founded her first company, which allowed online students such as herself to use their mobile devices to access their online school portals. Her company gave students freedom and mobility that the desktop version could not provide and allowed ultimate accessibility to students with minimal internet access at home. Mrs. Acevedo’s educational software program was licensed and sold to Defined Learning, a subsidiary company of Disney in 2012.
After exiting her first company, Mrs. Acevedo assisted in reorganizing her family’s corrugated business and helped transition their supply chain to 100% plant-based alternative raw materials, instead of utilizing wood-based (tree-based) fibers to manufacturer their corrugated products.
Mrs. Acevedo capitalized on the supply chain relationships of her family and extensive business network built in Los Angeles since 2008, and in 2012 founded Who Has It? Packaging. She has spent nearly a decade focused on building technologies and systems that streamline processes that are archaic and indirect. As a result of Mrs. Acevedo’s successful entrepreneurial experiences with technology, she quickly realized how she could apply such knowledge and systems to other industries.
As an 81% owner, the company is on pace this year to double 2021 earnings and is expected to reach revenues of $12MM+ in the next eighteen months from current client growth.
Fortune 100 corporations continue to seek out Who Has It? Packaging to assist in the transition of going “green” and remaining cost neutral or achieve a savings on their bottom line.
Ms. Colli received her BA in Business Marketing graduating Cum Laude from Liberty University in 2010.
Mr. Acevedo played basketball at the University of California San Diego, and then professionally in Puerto Rico for two years. Subsequent to his career as a professional athlete, Mr. Acevedo began his business career in the financial industry, obtaining his Series 7 & 63 licenses, and managing the trading floor responsible for $200M daily transactions at Stock Cross Financial.
Mr. Acevedo’s insider’s knowledge of finance and sports gave him a unique advantage when he moved on to pursue representing professional athletes at Rival Sports Group. His unique insight gained him the trust of notable athletes in the NFL and NBA. Athletes such as Terrelle Pryor, Julius Thomas, Rod Streater, Navarro Bowman, Jrue Holiday, Jordan Farmar, Markieff and Marcus Morris, and Thomas Robinson to name a few.
Mr. Acevedo was introduced to Who Has It? Packaging in 2013 and was immediately impressed by the business model and alternative revenue streams that could be generated for providing his corporate relationships a savings on their bottom line. After twelve months of consulting for Who Has It? Packaging and consummating a five-year contract with Apple Inc., Mr. Acevedo left Rival Sports to join the company in a full-time position.
Mr. Acevedo was able to leverage his relationships with professional athletes to be introduced to the purchasing managers at Fortune 100 corporations, broad line foodservice distributors, and stadiums nationwide. Currently Mr. Acevedo is the President of Customer Relations for Who Has It? Packaging and handles the day-to-day operations and cost analysts within the company’s supply chain. Since joining the company full-time, Mr. Acevedo has been able to save the company double digits in multiple verticals (freight, logistics, sourcing, and manufacturing).
Mr. Acevedo received his BA in Communications graduating from the University of California at San Diego in 2010.
