John A. Hamel is the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Swaray Inc., having architected Swaray’s
initial product with a vision to build a social video interaction and monetization platform for athletes
and content creators. Swaray is focused on democratizing and simplifying financial rewards for all
amateur athletes, regardless of sport, sex, ethnicity, or economic background while also providing fans
with a platform to follow and directly interact with athletes and other fans via immersive, live and pre-
recorded video events and fan pages. In addition to individual financial rewards for athletes and
coaches, Swaray provides schools, teams, athletic departments, and NIL collectives with the ability to
accept tax-deductible donations and tax-free gifts while also providing activity and compliance
reporting, tax reporting and tax withholding functionality.
Mr. Hamel is also currently the Chief Capital Markets Officer at LoanStream Mortgage. Prior to
LoanStream, John was the Executive Vice President of Finance and Capital Markets at Prime Choice
Funding, Inc., the President of Refi.com, LLC, Founder and CEO of Solstice Closing Solutions, LLC and
Executive Vice President of First Direct Lending, LLC. During the 18 years prior to First Direct, John held
various Investment Banking positions with Sterne Agee & Leach, Friedman, Billings, Ramsey (“FBR”) and
Financial Technology Partners, all focused on advising and raising capital for banks, financial services
companies, and financial technology firms. Mr. Hamel graduated with an MBA in Finance from New
York University’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Business Entrepreneurship from the University of
Southern California.
