Mr. Kirschner is the founder of Footpath Ventures, a growth equity firm with selected investments in the sports ecosystem.  The investments include properties in global cricket, in particular a team in the Indian Premier League (IPL).  The IPL is by far the most popular cricket league in the world, with central media revenues second only to the NFL on a per game basis.  Over the past 15 years, the IPL has matured into a modern, high transparency, high corporate governance, professionally managed sports league comparable to US peers.

Prior to founding Footpath Ventures, Mr. Kirschner co-founded Emerging Sovereign Group (“ESG”) and managed the equity business. ESG was a $5 billion Tiger Cub and affiliate of The Carlyle Group that invested in emerging markets growth stories for 16 years.
