Alex Alpert is the CEO and co-founder of Shyft, a fintech-powered marketplace reinventing the global moving and relocation industry. In a way, Alex has been in the moving and logistics industry his whole life. Born in a steel town in West Virginia, Alex grew up watching his father and uncle move merchandise for the family furniture business, and when he was old enough, he started to pitch in. When Alex got his driver’s license, he began truck driving for the family business. And he has been involved in transportation and logistics, in one way or another, ever since.

Prior to founding Shyft, Alex worked as the Business Development Director for Wheaton World Wide Moving / Berkin Van Lines, one of the top van lines in the industry. During his time there, Alex developed and implemented a national sales training program. Following this role, Alex joined Moveline as a Vice President where, through his consumer acquisition strategy, he was able to help the company grow revenue by 450 percent in his first year.

Alex co-founded Shyft with his wife, Daniela, in the Bay Area. Their goal was to make the moving process more human, accessible, and seamless. Alex, Daniela, and the team at Shyft have achieved this goal by developing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform specifically designed for relocation management companies, corporations and moving companies to help relocate customers anywhere in the world in an efficient and stress-free manner. Shyft now has offices in Miami, Tel Aviv, Belgrade, and Banja Luka. Over 400 moving companies in more than 68 countries use Shyft’s CRM platform.
Alex received the Meritorious Service Award from Worldwide ERC and has been a NFX Guild member since 2017.
